Over the years, I’ve been trying to return to my former self as a voracious bookworm. With a schedule that doesn’t let up and an extremely hyperactive six-year-old girl, I barely have time to read the back of a cereal box.
I have a stack of books right now on a shelf waiting to be read. The majority of the books I got from Amazon, and one was a gift that I really wanted to read for a while. I am reading a book right now that I want to finish and review either during this challenge or for Blogmas.
On the shelf are the books I have waiting to be read:
- Acid for the Children by Flea
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- Writing Personal Essays by Sheila Bender
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*uck by Mark Manson
- Ain’t I A Woman by bell hooks
- The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl by Issa Rae
- The Art of War by Sun Tzu
- Black Girls Must Die Exhausted by Jayne Allen
- Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay
- Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
- How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
- Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis
The current book I’m reading, Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis, is interesting. I am only about five chapters in, but I can clearly see where his head is beginning to realize he can write songs. I can’t tell anymore. You’ll have to wait for my thorough review of the book to find out.
That’s it for now. I’ll see you tomorrow!
